Self
Injury Support was set up in 2004 with the aim to help
and support people that were affected by self harm in
some way, this included providing information and
support to the family and friends of people who self
harmed.
Over the
years Self Injury Support forged many links with various
organisations, charities and other professionals that
had an interest in, or dealt with, self injurious
behaviour and helped them with training and awareness on
the subject of self harm.
In 2008
Self Injury Support was taken over by the Connect Mental Health
group who are a mental health
organisation that provide information, news and
resources on varying mental health subjects.
The Connect
Mental Health group is committed to carrying on all the good
work achieved so far by Self Injury Support
